Prerequisites for application for MA studies
The MA in Communication Planing and Design is a consecutive course. All applicants must have completed media-related studies and have a Bachelor degree, Diploma, or equivalent, and must pass an entrance examination at the University. A maximum of 15 students will be accepted to commence studies in March each year.
Application
Please submit the following documents directly to the University:
- Letter of application with statement of motivation, personal goals, and expectations
- CV with schools, universities, and work experience
- Authorized copies of your University graduation certificate and work references
- 2 recent passport photographs
- Portfolio with examples of academic and professional work, experience, and activities, and any scientific papers you might have written.
The course of studies is free of charge. The University cannot provide any scholarships or financial aid. Applicants are encouraged to talk to grant organizations. Fees for admistration and the student organization are EUR 72 per semester.
Selection and admission
A maximum of 15 students will be accepted on the basis of your submitted documents and a subsequent interview by the University"s graduate admission board.
Application times and closing dates
The University accepts students for the MA course only once a year, in March. You can apply for admission between the beginning of November and the beginning of January. The interviews will be in late January.

The study units are taught in German and English. Applicants must show proficiency in both languages. The requirements are:
