Learning outcomes

After completing this module successfully you will have a deeper knowledge and extended skills in overlapping media conceptualisation for complex communication products. You will be capable of applying methods of briefing, researching, analysis, planning, design, and simulation to areas of communication design. You will be able to relate your design solutions to the context of social, scientific, technical, ecological, and economic aspects and to document and discuss them. Depending on your choice of project you will have gained extensive knowledge and skills in specialist areas of media production and manufacturing processes and will be familiar with the quality criteria and demands of design practice. In addition to your broadened skills in communication and critique you will be capable of managing and organizing your own work.

Module content

Study of problem-oriented tasks in the areas of 'Communication in Space' and 'Trans-media Publication'. Development and application digital and manual working techniques. Methods, strategies, and skills for independent solution, communication, and documentation of interdisciplinary communication projects. Working techniques for mixed groups to encourage exchange among students and to develop social and didactic skills.
