Learning outcomes

After completing this module successfully you will have demonstrated your ability to plan and execute design projects and will have deepened your knowledge of professional requirements, of planning, organization, and execution of commissions and projects. You will have increased and demonstrated your skills in planning and structuring the design phase, in detailing, developing prototypes, and visualising, documenting, and presenting your process and results. You will have extensive knowledge of contract law, budgeting, and the fundamentals of personnel and time management.

Module content

Further methods and knowledge of resource and risk management, the structuring of research and information, planning of the utilization of materials, time, and personnel, assessment of sustainability and technological consequences, control of energy use, efficiency, and quality. Legal framework of the design process including design protection and patent rights, labour and social rights, free-lancing and investment planning.
