“The combination of design, scientific foundations, and the latest technology is irrestible.” Fabiola Gerbast, Exchange Student from ESDI, Rio de Janeiro
Semester of studies abroad
In Europe the SOCRATES/ERASMUS programme gives selected students the opportunity to study a semester at one of our partner institutions throughout Europe or to attend one of the seminars or workshops offered from time to time. The University also has an increasing number of partners outside Europe. Contracts guarantee acceptance of the equivalence of programmes and the full recognition of credits and grades achieved abroad.
There is an information meeting each semester at which guest students from abroad and returning students report on the programmes of the host universities and about their experiences in those institutions and countries. Interested students apply in writing during their 4th semester for studies during their 6th semester in Europe or beyond and are selected by interview.
The SOCRATES/ERASMUS programme offers modest grants towards travel and subsistence costs. The costs of studies outside Europe must in general be borne by the students, although the University can provide scholarships from time to time in special cases.
