“The "Gmünder Modell" was the main reason I decided to study here.” Mareike Graf, Student in Communication Design
BA major studies
During the major studies, from the 4th to 7th semesters, students choose elective subjects and so develop their design skills selectively at a professional level. They work on increasingly complex projects, accompanied by lectures and workshops. Subjects include theory of design and media, media authoring, systems theory, ecology and environmental science, materials and production technologies, semiotics and theories of perception, project planning and management.
Guest lectures by international designer experts and excursions to companies, trade fairs, and exhibitions complete the course offering.
