MA in Communication Planning and Design
The MA course in Communication Planning and Design is a three-semester consecutive graduate programme for designers, publishers, and media informatics specialists who wish to sharpen their design skills on complex contents and holistic planning tasks. Students can decide whether their interests lie more in practical applications or in theory and research subjects.
Professors are drawn from the areas of media design, media authoring, media informatics, and theory of media. They will cover subjects in the information and media design courses, and the foundation courses such as knowledge organization, media theory, social analysis, communication theory, and sociology. Experts from the areas of the sciences, culture, and the media expand the course offerings and introduce the views of the market.
Applicants must have completed media-related studies and have a Bachelors degree, Diploma, or
equivalent, and must pass an entrance examination at the University. A maximum of 15 students
will be accepted to commence studies in March each year.
The study units are taught in German and English. Applicants must show proficiency in both languages.
