Prof. Jörg Beck

Jörg Beck was appointed in 2004 to teach interactive media. After studies in Visual Communication at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd from 1995-1998 he became a guest lecturer for interactive systems. In 1996 he was a member of the department of Organization and Management of Information Systems at the University of Ulm, and in 2003 was a part-time lecturer in the MA programme “Integrated Design” at the University of Applied Sciences Anhalt in Dessau. In 1997 he was a co-founder and managing director of stellar kommunikation, Ulm, an office whose industrial clients include Daimler, Robert Bosch, and Continental, and has carried out design, conceptualization, and development of scientific and didactic media installations for clients including the Geological Research Centre Potsdam, the Maarmuseum Manderscheid, and the German Film Museum in Frankfurt. The office also designs interactive visualizations of city planning and building scenarios for the City Planning Office Ulm. Works have been published and shown in the Information Design Source Book IID, 2003, in the Design Museum London 2004, and in the “Werkraum” Gallery, Ulm 2006.
