Learning outcomes

After completing this module successfully you will have extensive fundamental analytical, methodological, and discursive skills in design processes for static and dynamic media. You will have become skilled in using theories and terms of design and will have a broad spectrum of design methods and problem-solving strategies. You will have sufficient fundamental knowledge to enable you to work on practical design questions in your own and in related areas.

Module content

Fundamental principles of digital video and audio technology: recording, cutting, and montage. Fundamental software skills for manipulating images in real and artificial sequences. Complex syntactical consideration of visual processes, analytical methods, problem-solving strategies, and appropriate translation of the spectrum of sign relationships of a musical sequence into a temporal visual model.
