Non-negotiable principles: The HfG signs the Bauhaus Manifesto 2026
The Bauhaus represents a key project of modernism. It stands for freedom of art and thought, a spirit of innovation, critical institutions, cosmopolitanism and, of course, the fundamental principles of design that are deeply rooted in the DNA of the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd. The Bauhaus and the progressive ideas associated with it are once again under attack and under threat. We stand against this through our work, our projects and what we, as the HfG, bring to the world. As signatories of the Bauhaus Manifesto 2026, we regard the principles set out therein as self-evident and non-negotiable.
