Equal Opportunities Officer
In the performance of all its tasks, the university promotes the actual implementation of equal opportunities for women and men and takes this into account as a universal guiding principle. Equal opportunities officers are directly assigned to the Rectorate and have a direct right to speak. They are voting members of the Senate and the appointment commissions. They participate in meetings of the University Council in an advisory capacity.
Equal Opportunities Commission
As an advisory committee to the Senate, the Equal Opportunities Commission supports the Equal Opportunities Officers in their work and serves to network and communicate the equal opportunities work at the various levels of the university. Areas of responsibility are distributed and processed among the members according to their competencies. Current developments and measures in the respective areas of responsibility are discussed at the Equal Opportunities Commission meetings.

The University of Applied Sciences (HfG) Schwäbisch Gmünd has set itself the goal of promoting trusting cooperation and a good working and study climate and protecting its members from sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying. The contact persons advise members and relatives of the university who are affected by sexual harassment.
