As part of the event "Digital Gender Gap and social capital in the digital start-up world", Kontaktstelle Frau und Beruf Ostwürttemberg in cooperation with goHfG will present women as start-up role models in IT and the digital world and highlight the importance of digital skills for female start-ups and social capital in particular for female founders in the digital world. The guests will be Lisa Duchscherer (founder and CEO of Naked Minds GmbH), Dr. Natalia Gorynia-Pfeffer (RWK Competence Center, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor project) and Sandra Jörg (founder and CEO of Blackpin GmbH).

The event will focus on the follo­wing questions:

  • How can the path to self-employ­ment succeed in the digi­ta­lized world?
  • What digital skills do I need as a female founder in order to start up in the digital world?
  • What signi­fi­cance does the digital gender gap have for women’s start-ups?
  • How can women build social capital and use it for their startups and entre­pre­neu­rial goals?
  • What can society and compa­nies do to ensure that more women gain a profes­sional foot­hold in the IT sector and – as employees – remain with the company longer?

Toge­ther with Sandra Jörg (founder and CEO of Blackpin in Aalen, Germany), the spea­kers will delve into the topics of social capital“, digital start-up skills and corpo­rate culture in the IT industry in a round table discus­sion: How can social capital be built up and used? What skills do I need to start-up in the digital world? What needs to change in society and in compa­nies so that more women gain a profes­sional foot­hold in the IT industry and – as employees – stay longer in the company?

Lisa Duch­scherer (from September on Bittighofer):

  • Founder and GF of Naked Minds, an expert network around trans­for­ma­tion and digi­ta­liza­tion that brings people toge­ther to grow ideas, projects, and companies.
  • Expe­ri­ence: SME consul­ting, auto­mo­tive industry, and venture capital from Berlin to London to New York.
  • Lisa Duch­scherer gained a lot of corpo­rate expe­ri­ence in the first ten years of her career, focu­sing on sales and marke­ting and always accom­panying exci­ting digi­ta­liza­tion topics.
  • Since 2019, Munich has been her home, where she founded her network Naked Minds.
  • Lisa Duch­scherer is doing her PhD at Heriot-Watt Univer­sity in Edin­burgh on the topic of Female Entre­pre­neur­ship & Social Capital“.

Dr. Natalia Gorynia-Pfeffer:

  • Dr. Natalia Gorynia-Pfeffer is a consul­tant at the RKW Compe­tence Center, where she is respon­sible for the Global Entre­pre­neur­ship Monitor project.
  • The RKW Compe­tence Center is a non-profit and neutral source of impulses and advice for German small and medium-sized busi­nesses. The offer is aimed at people who want to further develop their estab­lished company as well as those who want to build up a new company with their own ideas and drive. The aim is to increase compe­ti­ti­ve­ness and promote digi­tiza­tion in SMEs. The RKW Compe­tence Center is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy based on a reso­lu­tion of the German Bundestag.
  • The Global Entre­pre­neur­ship Monitor is the only data source world­wide that enables a spatial and temporal compa­rison of the start-up rates of many count­ries on all conti­nents. Since 1999, data on start-up acti­vity and start-up atti­tudes have been coll­ected annu­ally in more than 50 count­ries. As part of the Global Entre­pre­neur­ship Monitor, start-ups in Germany are inves­ti­gated by the RKW Compe­tence Center in coope­ra­tion with Leibniz Univer­sity Hannover. 

Sandra Jörg

  • Founder and CEO of Blackpin
  • Stra­tegic busi­ness consul­tant, digital product deve­loper, marke­ting specia­list. Lived 10 years in the high-tech metro­polis Berlin + then 7 years in Tel Aviv. Won over 20 national and inter­na­tional awards. Deve­loped over 60 commu­ni­ties and digital products.
  • The Aalen-based start-up BLACKPIN was founded in November 2016 by Sandra Jörg with the inten­tion of brin­ging the most secure busi­ness messenger to the market.
  • BLACKPIN is a mobile busi­ness app for agile, loca­tion- and time-inde­pen­dent work. It enables secure team­work in an abso­lutely encrypted and closed system. BLACKPIN offers all the stan­dard func­tion­a­li­ties of a classic commu­nity messenger, such as One2One chats and multi­user chats. Voice messages can be sent and files (images, docu­ments, links, videos, sounds) can be exch­anged, and much more.
