Design of digital media

In the area of mobile devices until now neither the position of the recipient within a defined space nor the interaction between the objects in that space has been used for innovative applications and to create new markets. The focus on the design of digital media aims to study this potential. The goal is to develop and network innovative technologies that will generate new products (hardware and software) that can connect a variety of new services and optimize existing ones. One aspect is “mobile information tracking” to create and present individual space-related information. This would allow all sorts of exhibition and trade fairs and applications in home automation and home entertainment to become networked. In general applications would be important for location and recipient dependent information in public spaces, complex organizations, and in building systems and spatially dependent social networks.
